d here. I should start with a little history; I am just not sure how far back I should go.I will make it simple, and say that I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. Five years ago I was able to fulfill my dream and bought my first horse, she was a weanling and I loved raising a baby. I had grand dreams of showing Gwen; I could not wait for the day when her name boomed on the loud speaker.
Gwen had turned three and I started to ride her, this was after years of being ponied. She was calm and steady. It was a great feeling to have accomplished so much with her, as I thought of the up coming show season I realized that I could not afford to keep her any more. It was a very difficult decision, but I called the trainer I wanted to use and asked if he could find a buyer.
There is comfort knowing that when I could not provide what the horse needed, I had an active role in finding the situation that I wanted to have. I have also learned that it is ok to give up for the right reasons.
Now, back to Last Chance, the beautiful buckskin AQHA gelding who will soon be my new steed. He is four and very green; I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me. Anticipating that, I have decided to start working out. I will be at the gym a little after 5am trying to get lean and strong.
If anyone has any workout tips I would gladly accept them! I can not wait to share my experiences with you.
(hehe, don't you love how I write this like I have followers...)
